Luxury accessories label Failero Sarti was founded by Monica Sarti in 1991, following the success of her family business the Faliero Sarti Woollen Mill which for many years has been a supplier of  beautiful textiles to fashion houses such as Giorgio Armani, Ann Demeulemeester and Vivienne Westwood.

The family business Faliero Sarti Woollen Mill “Lanificio Faliero Sarti” is one of the most famous Italian textile factories, since 1949. The Sarti mill still now produces very high quality fabrics especially for the women’s market for fashion designers all over the world.  The Sarti family has a long history and has been specialized, since the Mill’s creation, in the production of high quality fabrics for haute couture and pret-a-porter, using particularly valuable natural fibres such as wool, cashmere, angora, silk, linen.

Monica Sarti shares her family’s passion for beautiful textiles. She launched her own Faliero Sarti collection after living in New York where she studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology of New York.

The Failero Sarti collection’s signature scarves are offered in the finest cashmeres, silks and wools in a mind-boggling array of colors. Monica Sarti’s collections are based on natural materials. She innovates and experiments with fine materials. The results of this process enhance the quality of luxurious materials such as the accessories in doubled or printed cashmere.

Monica Sarti often innovates the way natural fabrics such as linen, hemp and jute are employed. She works a lot with cashmere in order to study the different possibilities of production this fibre offers. Cashmere, as a material, is in fact a symbolic fibre for Faliero Sarti.
