Pagani Automobili is a supercar maker founded by Horacio Pagani who launched the first Pagani Zonda C12 in 1999 at the Geneva Car Show.
Pagani was born in Argentina from a family descending from Italian emigrants. Car design has been his passion since he was a child. In 1983 he moved to Italy with a letter of recommendation by famous pilot Juan Manuel Fangio and soon he became a specialist working, among others, for Ferrari and Lamborghini.
Since hte launch of the first Zonda supercar Pagani Automobili has enjoyed a growth in success and has expanded internationally winning many awards.
The Zonda’s embryo first emerged in 1999 with the C12 but since then it’s gone from a 400-horsepower exotic to a 739-horsepower monster in the form of the Zonda R Clubsport. Currently the Zonda is available in 10 different models.
In 2011, the eagerly awaited Pagani Huayra, project name C9, the next chapter in the Pagani story, has finally been presented.
It took seven year to develop this new fabulous supercar. The concept in fact was born in 2003, the year of the introduction of the Zonda S Roadster, a prosperous period for the world of supercars.
